DivaDiamond Microdermabrasion Facial
Microdermabrasion (aka "microderm") is a non-surgical exfoliating treatment that can improve your skin tone and texture. The treatments are effective on all skin types who have mild to moderate skin concerns, except the super sensitive and those suffering from skin disorders such as rosacea and active inflamed acne. Fine lines, wrinkles and the appearance of acne scars and hyperpigmentation are greatly reduced. There is no down time involved with this treatment and proper use of moisturizer for your skin type and sunscreen is highly recommended. Sessions are scheduled 2-3 weeks apart. Once results are achieved, maintenance care is done every 30-60 days. This treatment includes an initial consultation with skin analysis, microdermabrasion treatment, custom masque, neck and shoulder massage, serums, moisturizers and sunscreen to rehydrate and protect your new skin. A series of 6 or more is highly recommended for best results.
**Results from this treatment will vary based on the current health of your skin, your age, your lifestyle, and adherence to post microdermabrasion instructions provided by your esthetician.

Possible Side Effects
Potential side effects of microdermabrasion are minimal and this is a very safe procedure. Potential drawbacks are very limited in that microdermabrasion only affects the epidermis, which is the outermost skin layer. Common minor, temporary side effects include:
As a general rule, the greater the potential benefits with a cosmetic treatment, the greater the potential risks and side effects. The possible risks with more aggressive treatments like dermabrasion and laser are much greater than microdermabrasion.

FAQ's ABOUT CHEMICAL EXFOLIATION
What Is A Chemical Exfoliation?
Chemical exfoliation or derma-peeling, is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes it to "blister" and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin also is temporarily more sensitive to the sun.
What Conditions Do Chemical Exfoliation Treat?
Chemical peels are performed on the face, neck, or hands. They can be used to:
Areas of sun damage, which may contain pre-cancerous keratoses that appear as scaly spots, may improve after chemical exfoliation. Following treatment, new pre-cancerous lesions are less likely to appear. However, sags, bulges, and more severe wrinkles do not respond well to chemical peels. They may require other kinds of cosmetic surgical procedures.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Chemical Exfoliaton?
Generally, fair-skinned and light-haired patients are ideal candidates for this treatment. Darker skin types may also have good results, depending upon the type of problem being treated. However, the risk of an uneven skin tone after the procedure is increased.
How Is Chemical Exfoliation performed?
The skin is thoroughly cleansed with an agent that removes excess oils and the eyes and hair are protected. A prepping solution is used to further prep the skin. One or more chemical solutions, such as glycolic acid or lactic acid are applied to small areas on the skin. These applications produce a controlled wound, enabling new, regenerated skin to appear.
Preparing For Chemical Exfoliation
Prior to chemical exfoliation, avoid taking Retinol or other similar medications and avoid excessive sun exposure. After the treatment, it's important to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day.
If you have been prescribed oral antibiotics or an oral antiviral medicine, you should begin taking those as directed.
What to Expect During Chemical Exfoliation
During a chemical exfoliation most clients experience a burning sensation that lasts about five to ten minutes, followed by a stinging sensation. Cool compresses or fan may be applied to help alleviate this stinging.
What To Expect After the Chemical Exfoliation
Depending upon the type of chemical exfoliation, a reaction similar to sunburn occurs following the procedure. It usually involves redness, followed by scaling that ends within three to seven days. Mild peels may be repeated at one to four-week intervals until the desired clinical effect is achieved.
Medium-depth and deep peeling may result in swelling, as well as the presence of water blisters that may break, crust, turn brown, and peel off over a period of seven to 14 days. Medium-depth peels may be repeated in six to twelve months, if necessary.
I will work with you to determine the depth of your peel. This will depend upon the condition of your skin and the objectives of treatment.
It is important to avoid exposure to the sun after a chemical exfoliation since the new skin is fragile and more susceptible to complications. I will prescribe the proper follow-up care to reduce the tendency to develop abnormal skin color after the treatment.
LED Light Facial
LED light therapy is quickly becoming recognized as the safest & most effective anti-aging and acne treatment on the market. LED visible light therapy is a non-invasive procedure that allows non-thermal, low-level light energy to activate the natural processes of the skin. It converts the energy from the light into energy within your skin cells, which can then be used for healing, reducing inflammation, and minimizing scarring. It helps develop collagen and elastin to make your skin look more wholesome and youthful. LED can lessen the size of your pores, eliminate imperfections, enhance the quality of your skin as well as treat dehydrated skin. Since LED can develop collagen, your skin will become softer and fine line and wrinkles are filled-in. Light therapy has been used in professional skin care clinics and dermatological clinics all throughout Europe for a good part of the last decade, but only now has this technology been made available to the public.
LED light therapy does not harm the skin like laser treatments and it is safe, painless, non-invasive, involves no harsh chemicals, no numbing cream, and no recovery time. LED light therapy consists of six (on average), 30-60 minute pain-free sessions 1-3 times a week for a month. Once desired results are obtained, maintenance treatments are recommended every 30-60 days to keep the collagen firm. It is recommended to use moisturizer daily to maintain results

Benefits of LED Light Therapy
Microcurrent Face Lift
This treatment uses a microcurrent facial toning machine which sends safe, painless impulses to the muscles in your face that help overly-tightened muscles to relax and helps under worked muscles to regain strength & "re-educates" the facial muscles, restoring them back almost to their original shape. It is designed to help lift aging skin, eliminate wrinkles and fine lines, stimulate blood circulation, and tightens tired muscles. For optimum results a series of 6-12 treatments is recommended within 60 days and/or 2 treatments per week are suggested until desired results are achieved. Maintenance may depend on the individual's goals but 1-2x per month is recommended.
Includes basic steam cleansing, microcurrent treatment, a firming/toning collagen masque, massage of neck and shoulders and firming anti-aging serum/moisturizers.

Nano -Needling Infusion Facial
Nano Needling (aka nano-infusion) is an innovate, non-invasive transdermal serum delivery system designed to rejuvenate your skin and correct many common issues such as lack of tone, uneven texture, excessive pigmentation, scarring, and loss of elasticity. This type of treatment instantly provides up to 1000% more absorption of professional-grade skin care products, giving you amazing results. Microchannels are made with a handheld stylus that taps the nano cartridge up and down on the epidermis of your skin. The stylus features an array of pyramid-like nano pins. Each pin on the array has a diameter smaller than a single strand of human hair, rendering them almost invisible to the naked eye. Nourishing serums are delivered below the skin barrier to stimulate the regenerative processes and collagen production in your skin. It is very safe for all skin types with no pain or down time from bleeding or inflammation, compared to microneedling.
For best results, a course of 4 weekly treatments, followed by one treatment done every other week for 4 weeks, then one maintenance treatment every 4-6 weeks thereafter is recommended. Includes cleansing, exfoliation, needling serum infusion for skin type and condition, facial mask, toner and moisturizer.
